Ayyiya means ‘the Lord makes right.’ It’s my name, my promise, and the heart of everything I set my hands on.

I am an Interior Designer with a passion for storytelling through spaces. My design philosophy is rooted in blending tradition with innovation, honoring cultural heritage while creating environments that feel fresh, functional, and inspiring.

As a Nigerian woman, I often weave elements of my own culture into my work, and I’m equally excited about drawing from global influences. From classical architecture to contemporary interiors, I find meaning in design that respects history yet speaks boldly to the present.

My journey has led me to opportunities like studying abroad in Italy, where I plan to deepen my understanding of craftsmanship, materiality, and cultural symbolism.

I am especially excited about my upcoming internship with FADD Architects in Naples, Italy. Their approach to bold, contemporary design rooted in tradition deeply resonates with my own philosophy. I look forward to learning how they balance innovation with heritage, and how design can transform not only spaces but the way people live and connect within them. Every space is a story waiting to be brought to life and I beleive that these experiences will be crusial as I continue to shape my vision and grow toward my ultimate goal: building Ayyiya Interiors, a design studio dedicated to creating culturally inclusive and globally inspired spaces.
